Vivekanand Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management is managed by Sushree Sardama Trust, a reputed trust with diverse and rich experience in the field of hospitality. The field of hospitality operates in a dynamic environment and changes related to operational aspects are frequent in the industry. The institute too needs to adopt the practices of change happening in the industry and implement the same for the benefit of the students. The governance of the trust is undertaken by experienced professionals who help the institute function efficiently through their inputs on best practices, techniques, experiences and dealing with changes.

The Internal Academic body constitutes of the Principal of the institute, Faculty Members, Subject Matter experts and Industry experts.
The institute follows the following aspects to ensure good governance being implemented at all functional areas. To enumerate they include
i. The institute follows an open door policy for all visitors including parents and every visitor is treated as a guest at the institute.
ii. All office related tasks pertaining to students are completed within a turnaround time as decided internally.
iii. Student grievances are heard every day by the concerned authorities. There is a dedicated student grievance redressal mechanism in place both online and offline. Students are free to escalate issues to the Principal of the institute at any point of time if dissatisfied.
iv. Hostel grievances are daily addressed during evening attendance and are resolved. Grievances related to maintenances are put across in concerned register and the same monitored for resolution.
v. Trustees regularly meet students to resolve any issues pertaining to different areas of the institute.
vi. Feedback from students is obtained related to academics every week by the HOD Academics and the same discussed with teachers every Saturday.
vii. Feedback forms are filled by students pertaining to general feedback of the institute.
viii. Committees have been formed for different developmental activities of the students and include student members and faculty.
ix. Peer learning is an essential aspect of learning and involves student to initiate and display early responsibility.
x. Early teacher orientation program is followed for final year students to imbibe leadership skills.
xi. Lesson Planning by faculty members are initiated for smooth execution of syllabus.
